ok, so heres the scoop. when i first bought my 1996 Mustang, it had 3 different size tires on it: the 2 front were low-profiles and the only 2 that matched, the back 2, well, lets just say one was slightly noticeably bigger than the other making my car tilt for about a month after i put regular tires for winter on it.

so this coming summer, i want to for SURE get low-profiles again but in need of advice....

if i want to just go with low-profiles in the front, whats the best size for the back, saying that i want them bigger, but not by much.

im sorry i have NO IDEA about the weird numbers to size tires and stuff, but yeah.... (sorry but i only know how to explain it like this)

Is this a GT or v6? Do you still have the stock rims or aftermarket? You will have to give a bit more info on what you have now so someone can give you a better idea of what you are looking for.

v6 and stock rims, sorry, guess i should have put that.... but right now i have my winter tires on, i dont want to put my rims back on until i get new tires

i dont want TOO expensive, but durable, trust worthy tires

/\ that size seems to be about right. maybe a 50 if you want a smaller sidewall but that might start looking goofey any smaller.

i like Falken Azenzie tires, BFG KDW's as well.... anything BFG is good or Perelli.

another thought is too, just get new rims with tires. i've seen some pretty good deals on factory mustang wheels with tires. just about as much as you would pay for brand new tires.

that could work, but i <3 my rims (sentimental reason: its my first stang, upgraded from a 93 Saturn SC1 or something)

Going any more "low-pro" will throw off your speedometer. FYI the second number in "225/55/16" is BASICALLY how big your sidewall will be. IMHO 60 is too big, 50 would look too small. If you want a smaller sidewall you're going to have to go with a bigger rim.

i want low-pros like the ones in the pic. those dont mess with my speedometer, and i like them lol

so now im on the hunt for tires that arent low-pros, but wont make my back end look retarded lol

So you basically want the same tire that is on there now? Is the car in that picture your car and those are the tires that are on it now? If that is your car and you want the same size tires that are on there now, just write the size down that is on the side of the tire and go find some new ones.

having 2 diff. size tires in the rear circumference wise will ruin a diff.

/\/\ especially that weak little 7.5, i would avoid driving for sure until you get thoes sizes figured out.... But if you want low pros, i had good luck with some of the higher up coopers, they were on 17s and handled well adn gave me good bite when launching.

on a v6 even some all season kumho escta's would be good enough.
