nice ride is that a 92 or 93? I know my buddy who was big into the dsm his dad had a blue one like that. I almost bought a black 92 tt r/t in 94 it was a cool car but couldn't get the deal done, but I did drop the hammer at 6,000rpms and made the sales guy pretty much crap his pants!! (maybe that had something to do with the deal not closing) LOL

Looks just like the one I used to have. I had 15Gs, a VPC, ported heads, etc. all the other supporting mods and when it wasn't broken and ran right it was a low 11 second car easy. When it wasn't broken and ran right lol. I had the drive train apart like a dozen times in like 3 years for either clutch, transfer case, or trans breakage. Since the car is so much heavier it's even worse than DSMs once you start making power... Picture 1 plus picture 2 equals picture 3!

P.S. They are not that hard to work on, not for someone like you - they are about the same pain in the ass as a DSM pretty much.

That's a pretty rare RT TT color. I think there was only 80 ever made in that color.

I did some power steering rack/line restoration and swapped in 13T turbos (very similar to 15Gs). For those that don't know, they are WRX compressors mated to the stock 9B exhaust housings that are hogged out, making it a bolt up affair. They are good for about 400-430AWHP, the record for those turbos was a little bit higher than that.

I gutted both pre-cats and made a test pipe this morning. It growls real nice now. Still running stock boost, 9psi.

Very sexy, I always thought in the earlier years that the stealth looked better than the 3000gt's, until the 99 came out . I almost bought a VR4 but was not a fan of the boat feeling they have.

As far as it being hard to work on, as long as its not the timing belt its really not that bad. I assisted my friend taking out his engine, rebuilding it, and putting it back in only with one scratch on my hand from the engine almost crushing it....my hands are destroyed from working on my z lol.

Gotta pull the engine to get the turbos off in the Z?

Z's are just like other fun cars out there... Tanin, I'll have to buzz ya when I take the engine out of the Audi to swap the turbos. Now THAT engine is crammed in there. Tight engine bays for the lose. :(

You don't HAVE to but its the logical thing to do. By the time your done pulling one turbo out, you could have the engine out and have the new ones bolted in already. :alcoholic

It took me 4 hours to get 4 bolts off. :alcoholic:alcoholic:alcoholic:alcoholic

The EGR is now deleted and in hell where it belongs. So I can pull my plenum in 4-6 hours.

At least you don't have to deal with torx's, Allen's, and the dreaded triple squares for bolts. Thanks Germany. Seriously. :fire

Installed Y-pipe

Fabricated downpipe and 3" exhaust mated to the stock mufflers

Holy shit. It really opened things up. I gained 800+ Hz with just those two changes. Insanity.
