Even the RWD conversion SRT-4's are still using the SRT-4 engine. Like others have said, there isn't anything Cobolt on that thing besides the shell.

That said, there's always a way to break the rules, and this little car is bad ass. Now, I would much rather own the Nova or any other "stereotypical" muscle car, but that little Cobalt is tough.
