I would definitely go on a tour like that.

I saw a wildlife of cherobyl documentary a few months back. Very interesting. Small game do not live long enough to be affected by the radiation and with no natural predators they live in great numbers.

really cool I keep comming back here and seeing something in the pics I didnt see the first time

wow that was eerie to read! I would NEVER go to that town ever. The writer was wrong about the amount of radiation to kill someone though. It takes 450 to slowly kill you and 600 for instant death. Radiation therapy for some cancers/tumors such as mine required 200-250....mind you 100 causes hair loss and sever sickness.

I saw a documentary once where they went through the schools and the kids toys and shoes were sad to see as they were left in place. That pool looks EXACTLY like the one in COD4, surreal without a doubt how detailed they were with that.

I got chills going through the pics, especially the ones from the school.

The pool, hotel, and Farris wheel all remind me of CoD4. Those are some cool pics, but I dont think I'd spend my vacation in radiation.

Wasn't there a similar online thread/pics a few years back where someone took their crotch rocket through and took tons of pics and info to go with it?

Pretty cool/chilling stuff. Reminds me of Detroit or Northridge mall :goof .

The marshes of Prypyat were huge Partisan areas on the Eastern Front in WWII also, lots of heavy shit has gone down in that little area.

That was actually not the whole truth...

Elena Vladimirovna Filatova (Russian: Елена Филатова, born 1974) is a Ukrainian motorcyclist and photographer who uses the online nickname "KidOfSpeed". Her website, containing a photo-essay of her solo motorcycle rides through Chernobyl's radioactive "dead zone", gained her internet fame.[1] It was later revealed that the story accompanying the photos was fictional; they were in fact taken during a public group tour

I remember people stating the kidofspeed thing was "fake", even though it was merely just exagerated by my understanding. Just saying, people have posted pics of the aftermath before, that is all. It was the first time I've seen pictures of it and it was 4-5 years ago.

i think that is this case.. it takes an awful lot of heat to melt pure graphite from my understanding

I would recommend everyone clicking that and just hit next page next page. Unreal that over there people can just walk around and dig that stuff up, surprised its not illegal :stare

Yeah but he got hit by another tour bus, lol

Seriously though, you are not in the area long enough, you stay on paved surfaces andthe buildings are wide open. There are instruments reading what you are experiencing through the entire short trip.

If we were taking a trip into the core, yeah, that wouldn't be too bright.

The whole thing is just so.....honestly chilling.....That Ferris Wheel really creeped me out, and the graffiti. It just seems....I don't even know how to say what I'm trying to say here.....it's just so scary because it gets you thinking all these "what ifs" about a nuclear disaster on an even bigger scale. Nightmare material for sure.
