Nice! Did you get that one from Roskopf's?

We bought a 38 footer to replace our 30 footer that got flooded last summer. No pics yet though.... maybe when we pick it up on the 4th.

More trailer park bullshit.... built a deck this weekend...

Our big project this year, as we rebuild our campsite, was to do a 10x30 deck.

Per park rules, etc., the deck needs to be free-standing with no footings dug in. So I used the dek-block system and their method of elevation using 4x4's. It turned out pretty decent. It's acceptable for a campground but I wouldn't want a free-floating deck built up on stilts at my house or anything. It was very difficult to get everything level... but for a campground deck, it will do just fine. And the machine that cut this decking should be retired. 8' "premuim" treated decking should not have 1-2" of length variance amongst the batch.

From the time Menards dropped off the materials until completion was just about 6 hours. My friend Jay lent a huge hand and we just kept on trucking because we knew if we stopped, it wasn't getting finished, lol.

Steps and railings to follow this summer....

I'd be nervous of that deck teetering over.

Usually they are but this one sn't really made to be towed all around. it's more of a hybrid park model. 9600# gave the deezel a nice test a few weeks ago!! :headbang

Yeah that's what I thought at first but this is exactly how the Dek-Block company draws up the plans. You're supposed to be allowed up to 20" of rise and mine's only about 15" and everything is supposed to be on top of the 4x4's.

Something about a 300 sq. foot deck balancing on (35) "stilts" seemed a bit odd but everything is toed into eveyrthing else and it's very sturdy.. first thing we did was try to wiggle it. I think a couple of staircases on two different sides will help ease my mind too.

that duramax should handle the 9600# with ease. My neighbor used his 99 7.3 Powestroke to pull a 50ft 5th wheel flatbed with 2-3 travel trailers ontop of it

Thats good work and it looks great, I wouldn't be that nervous of it teetering over with 35 ! stilts tho I can why it is/was/will be kind of pain to level and keep it sturdy and not saggy and spongy.

Do you plan on water problems there again ? Which river is this near ?

Oh, it pulled it just fine. Got like 13-14mpg from Slinger to Watertown. I should have used the word workout instead of test. It was no problem.

This park flooded as a trickle down (literally) from Lake Delton emptying and them not opening the dams down lower. So we really hope nothing like that never happens again. This is River Bend Resort on the Crawfish River out near Watertown.
