How about a meet and greet with our cars to kick off the year? I know a lot of people won't have their cars out or be ready for a few more weeks yet but maybe the middle of April we could get together, pending our weather of course? Or late April?

Any thoughts? :thumbsup

Well I couldn't take it anymore. We went over and got the Cutlass out of the storage garage and brought it home. :banana

Now we just need a nice weekend day so I can give it the spring cleaning and oil change. Too bad I have to work tomorrow... looks like it's going to be a winner!

Took the coronet out for a cruise and took the wife to dinner the other day...what a blast. Two cars tried to race me (a lexus RX 350 and a late 80's firebird formula).

I can tell you this...glad that I've got a new 'teen on the way, this old one likes the blow-by, lol.

It doesn't matter which of my 3 cars I take out, there's always about 5-10 douchebags who try to race them. It gets real old, real fast. Sometimes, I just want to drive and be left alone!!

I don't bother... I know my car is slow as crap. It feels more gutsy now though thanks to the moderate stall converter that the trans guy talked me into...

They like to try to race my cars because they make assumptions, I think......they assume the 89 RS is all stock, this is true......they assume the Olds is slow due to her size, this is NOT true, and has surprised many, many a sportscar when she sails past them......and (this one I find the most amusing) they assume the '79 Z/28 is stock and bogged down with emissions crap.......The only thing "stock" left on that car is her steering wheel........ :devil

I need mine to actually be running before I commit to anything. I don't want to jinx it just yet.

anyone have a thought for a meeting spot for the first classic car gathering of the season? Gilles? Nite Owl?

Nite Owl or Gilles would both be cool. Either or.

It might not seem like much, but a new tank makes a world of difference in the car's appearance. I just had a new one put in my '79, and I was amazed at how slick it looks. Stainless lines, stainless sending unit.....not there is nothing left on the car that is stock...save for the steering wheel, lol.....
