I was driving home from Minneapolis yesterday and I saw this. I first saw the truck just outside MN and saw it again after I had dinner in Madison and headed to Milwaukee. The truck made at least from Minneapolis to Milwaukee with the car like this. I would be so pissed it this was my car.

I'd guess that's no one's car... It looks like a bunch of lease returns... And since it was inspected on pick-up that's all on the truck driver... :rolf

why would you leave your plate on for a lease return? All the cars on there had plates, mostly from out west.

Probably going to Manheim. High mileage German cars still bring a premium buck at Manheim Milwaukee so many from out west and down south will end up at a high line sale at Manheim Milwaukee.

Other states have different laws regarding plates, for some the plate is registered to the person and some are to the vehicle itself.....

The plate belongs to the title owner so if these cars are off-lease, bmw or the bank owns them. Either way the truck driver is responsible for the portering that 6-series is going to need.

From my experiences it's pretty average for people returning lease returns to just leave the plates on the vehicle.

I'm sure those were going to Manheim Milwaukee, or to Schaumburg...

had a driver come here one day with a what looked like a brand new saleen coupe. the drivers side window was down. when i asked him, he said that he needed to leave it down to get in the car or something like that.

it was january!
it was extremely salty!

the inside of this saleen was TRASHED with salt! all over the seats that were not covered? the steering wheel, the dash, you name it. i couldn't believe my eyes.

my dealership had problems with getting cars with the radios hacked out, we had to put in 4 dash harnasses, 3- chrysler 300s with mygig nav, and 1 challenger with mygig/non nav.
