I'll probably drive the RS today! Not the other two, though......They have about 4 more weeks of hibernation yet.

1 of mine is out. As far as salt, if you classic muscle car that actually has steel on it then keep it in otherwise it won't hurt your plastic car.

I never bring out any good cars until we have a spring thunderstorm to wash away all the salt.

Still doing suspension changes to it. Even if it was ready it wouldn't come out until the streets are clear of salt. I did take today off and worked on it.

Not really good for cars yet. Drove the formerly clean HHR up to Pittsville and back on Friday and wow was it dirty. Gold star if you know what the significance of Pittsville is.:thumbsup

I dont get why you people all put your cars away and then bring them out the first WARM day. Only reason i put mine away is SALT. If it was just cold year round and no salt id never put it away. Just doesnt make sense to store a car for 5 months and then still get it full of salt just because its warm out?

Mine is just a driver. Store it long enough to keep it out of harms way. (Read snow.)

Can't stand to drive the winter beater any longer than I need to.

I don't worry about salt unless it's pretty wet out there. If it's a cold, dry day and the roads are clear (no snow/ice out there), I don't care. Not that I drive my car around on those days, but I would if I had to.

Days where there is a lot of melt and the roads are wet are the worst for a car. All the salt poured on the roads, plowed to the sides and sitting in the snow just comes right out on those days.

However, dry, powder-ized salt isn't going to oxidize anything....wet brine will however.

My car is outside right now getting a free car wash. I have thought about taking the blizzaks off of her.

Keeping my fingers crossed that this is the spring road salt wash, but I have a feeling we'll get hit with 1 more snow.

I doubt it. It's supposed to rain rain rain then freeze tonight with a low of 18. I'm expecting more salt. Tomorrow is supposed to be 29 for the high as well, so I bet they salt since it's going to freeze.
