I think driving through that field is smoother than some of the streets around here...

The funny thing is that my great grandparents owned all of that land untill Milwaukee and Racine countys took it away from my family or bought it off them after my great grandparents died. The countys said it was a flood plain and anything that would be built on that land would be torn down, so they made my grandparents sell it to the countys in the 60's. I can only imagine what its worth today!

Plenty of people do illegal mudding in milwaukee, just that most of them don't get caught. It would be nice if there was a place around here to go legaly. A farmer could make a killing just letting people go out and tear it up in his fields on the weekends.

In the article they mention it is county property, It belongs to the people of the county. If so, why cant they wheel on it? It technically is their property? OC police also says that the tresspassing laws state you need to have written permission on your person to be on land you dont own. Does that mean that I could get a ticket for taking my family to Grant park for a picnic on a saurday afternoon?

What would it take to make it legal to offroad there? If it is county property, It obviousely isnt zoned residential, cant it be used a s an offrod park? The county / city could make alot of money on that useless chunk of land.

Matt you would get a ticket if you were mudding in grant park. I don't think it means if you are standing on the property you would get a ticket. There was criminal damage to property done, so that is how the trespassing ticket was put into place. If they would of been riding their bicycles or walking they probably wouldn't of gotten a ticket.

It would be cool if they had a trail or a place to go mudding but the problem is the liability factor. you know somebody would get hurt and cry foul and sue or break their truck and sue even if somebody signs a sheet saying so bad so sad.
