After almost loseing ambition on our project due to work getting crazy (which is good), i got a call and picked up the last remaining parts.

Lots of pictures, so please dont hate me!

First off, i want to Thank John S. At Rocket Racing for being extremely helpful with everything. Being more than happy to take me and show me how ever machine in his shop works, and showing me progress on all of my parts. Not only did he put my stuff first when he had a WHOLE shop full of setups that need to go together, but he never doubted my plans or goals!

He never once, pushed me to leave. Hell he had me stay multiple time for an hour plus of time, just to show me the differences in quailty of parts with all kinds of parts companies. Im 100% positive, the parts going into this SBF are :headbang worthy.

Onto the pictures....

1.55" valves? Where?

Are those heads 225s?

Youre gonna LOVE your FTI cam. I do. I dont think you'll be wasting much time with Neons.......

I'm betting I know the displacement. I'm jealous.

I ment springs are 1.550's. My valves are huge though. My Cam should be here on the 3rd and from what i talked with Ed about, he said your going to have lots of power up top so don't be afraid to rev :D

Its a stock block, not aftermarket.

Yup. That block is fine. The early 70's blocks are just about the strongest OEM Ford blocks available.

no, no secret. Its going to be a 408.

I can't wait to try it in our car, as before we had a 289 that was on 7 cylinders and wouldn't rev over 5500. Should be fun @ 3100lbs with a 5 speed and a 9" :thumbsup
