PureSound15

Sunday, May 31, 2009 @ 11:00 AM –
· Sunday, May 31, 2009 @ 1:00 PM – Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio and Brew City Muscle Car Show / Track Day at Great Lakes Drag way – Union Grove, WI
o This show will bring the all the old and the new muscle, show cars, race cars, rat rods, you name it, together for one big show. Plus, at your own risk, you can choose to run your car down Great Lakes Drag way. To help offset Brew City Muscle forum costs as well as help Yooself with medical bills, a $5 dollar entry will be charged per car into the car show. Additional fees may be charged to race on the Drag Strip
o More details to follow as we approach this date

I will add more to this in a bit - just wanted to give everyone a heads up!

Proceeds from the show will be donated to Yoosof's family!

Please - if you post this on other forums, supply us with a link. We, as usual, need to have an idea of how many cars are going to show up. I do not know if there will be a pre-registration or not.

I sure hope that everyone attends.

This is pretty simple -

$10 dollar entry -- $5 goes to Yoo and $5 admission for Summit Racing

If you want to track your car, there is an additional cost on top of the $10 dollar entry. Note that you will be running after the Summit Series.

I have been promoting to the guys on my list, Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio (Captn Bob) has been promoting at all of the local car events and on the radio station.

Ryan T has placed threads here to get all BCM members involved.

Our goal is 400 cars. Together we should be able to make this happen for a good cause and have a lot of fun.

I hope that this helps and see you guys/gals next week.

Is that good or bad?

Greg@GLD
05-27-2009, 06:54 PM
did anyone know its IMSM on the 31st???

I knew.

What's done is done. This was all setup without my input. I'd never have put it this particular day. (The BCM portion of the day's events)
We'll just have to make do and get thru it. I'm giving up my racing in IMSM that day to help Randy & Dom... I'm sure these guys will at least enjoy the show IMSM will put on. ;) The car show should not be an issue whatsoever with regard to the program, that will be fine. It's the time runs part. I read in an e-mail promoting this, something about Summit Series being done at 2:00PM.
I think that might be a little on the optimistic side but we'll do the best that we can. I'll also try and setup a dedicated BCM lane so these guy can get some runs in between rounds.

We'll do the best that we can with what we have to work with and that's the bottom line.

Greg@GLD
05-27-2009, 06:57 PM
Is that good or bad?

Good, absolutely. It's a great show to watch, much more exciting than bracket racing, but that's just my opinion... :thumbsup

Bad? Depends Scott... As I said, this will have ZERO effect on the BCM car show. It might make for some waiting to get time runs in, but we'll figure out something on race day...

Whenever you would like. I'm sure a majority of the crowd will be showing up earlier rather than later.

For the photogs going to this (Me, Scott, Not sure who else), I know I need a window of times for the model shoot. I know Greg doesn't know - so whoever is working this out I'll need to know asap because I have other obligations that day that I have to shift around appropriately.

Greg -

Captain Bob and I met on this in January. Captain Bob met with Randy at GLD and Randy gave us the date that he wanted the show. We did not pick it. Neither Bob nor myself were aware that this was not communicated among GLD employees. Had I known that I would have made sure you were aware of it.

I also was the one who sent the email out that you are referring to and I was told that information as well about the 2:00 PM ending time. I am doing the best I can for this as I know you and many others are as well.

I think it will be good to have the Summit Series there as many of the people on my distribution list have never been to GLD in their life, including me. I believe that this is a win/win for everyone involved as there should be plenty to do and see.

If there is anything else I can do to help, let me know.

Looking forward to it.

Joel G

P.S. I didnt openly come up to a lot of people and introduce myself cause Im just a shy dude until I get to know you so if anyone feels I was being snoby I apologize. Someone made a "hes too good to talk to us comment as I walked by today" I just brushed it off. Just a shy guy around new peeps. Sorry!

I feel bad that I couldn't make it and contribute. Hopefully I can make it to some other event this summer were you are taking donations.

Kelly,Machinu is one of the coolest, nicest guys around, whoever said that he was too good is gonna get punched in the throat if i hear it. I don't think there was one person I missed saying hi to,but if there was a slim chance I didn't I apologize it wasn't intentional. To prove that, hell I even shook carramitinmyassrod's hand. lol

Had a great time today.

Tom, great to meet you and I enjoyed sharing a breakfast table.

Whomever suggested the truck stop, thanks, it was good food.

Mopar Jim, good to meet you as well. Your car is just insane, but you know that. It was fun to see it on the highway.

Nate and Jessica, great meeting you two. It was nice to talk about something other than cars for a while. Glad we did lunch.

Myles, you still need to get laid (bigtime). Always fun to be within earshot of your commentary. Hope all the Calendar girls got away safely.

Coop, you suck.

Everyone else, great to see you today, hope another event turns up this year with such a good turnout and weather.

Yoo, although this was to benefit you, we were the real beneficiaries today. We got to enjoy a great day (cheap) and feel good about doing it.

Why the heck didnt you have that sweet car in the show?
