How these guys were still in business I don't know, but I guess that is a bit moot right now;

No shit. I have no idea how they stayed in business with their pricing.

I worked there in high school.... :rolf

The whole store was ran by college kids, there were never any managers there. We would just get drunk and do nothing, it was horrible.

Ritz also owns a chain of marine supply stores called "boaters world" on the west coast.

I'm all about supporting the local brick and mortar but their prices, Art's prices, etc. are out of this world compared to what I can pay online.

Crivellos should be following suit here also...unless they are still selling a lot of point N shoot cameras to Brookfield folk for $100 over retail :rolf

I try and shop crivellos as much as possible to support small business, but their markup on some items is just ridiculous. Some of the higher end stuff isnt marked up as high as the lower end stuff.

I bought a lens from there one evening on a spur of the moment thing, 'cos I had front row tix to a Brewer game the next day... I was antsy :(
Yea it was $110 cheaper online... but... convenience won.

I bought my 1Ds, 24-70 and too numerous to count little things from Crivellos. I could have bought that 24-70 for $200 less online but I knew that buying it at Crivellos meant that if I EVER had an issue with it that they would get me a lens to use until mine came back from Canon. They did the same thing with my 1Ds, they gave me a 5D to use while Canon had it.

Crivellos is good people.

That's a really good point, Scott. I did not think about things that way as far as warrantying their products go.
