I have the same computer with close to the same set up. These are great computers. Don't let the whole apple thing get to you either. You can use boot camp and install windows on it also and run two separate operating systems so you can use all of your old software.

I have had mine since they came out and never had a single problem.

Thanks guys. Sadly, it looks like I'm heading back to PC world. The 7600GT is a great card, but it's not quite powerful enough to run newer games at max settings. My PC build is $1500 so I'm just looking to defer these funds into the new PC.

so out of curiosity, whats so great about the Mac OS software? I know windows is always buggy, but why buy a mac just to throw windows on it?

Being able to run PC based software like GMSI HP tuners...That is Winblows based and then have a virtually virus free Mac OSX makes it so much better.

Toggling between while both OS are running in Boot camp , VMware Fusion is kick ass.

Not a bad deal considering what a comparable system is new.

Building a Crackintosh is a lot easier and cheaper then you may think. I am running on one now with dual boot that cost me less then 300 complete.

I have the same computer in a 20" and has been nothing short of awesome. My laptop died last week and I picked up a macbook pro and it is also awesome. They are expensive, but i guess you get what you pay for.

That would almost get my PC built, but I'd still need a monitor. :crying
