Hey all,

I want to get new Anti-Virus software. I am currently running Trend Micro on all of our computers however the latest upgrade to their 2009 version has begun to produce some weird incompatabilities with other software.

My only must haves is I have to be able to have spybot installed along with whatever program I use(trend micro says you can't have it to work right) and I will NOT use Norton.

Any Suggestions will be appreciated. I am definitely willing to pay for software if it fits my needs. If the license covers multiple PC's that would be even better.

Thanks

Download "MRI" from isohunt.com. It's what the geeksquad uses to fix computers. It's awesome.

Is "MRI" strictly virus software or does it do other stuff also?

All I can say is WOW. I downloaded MRI and as far as I can tell all the conflicts are gone. My internet explorer used to not open unless I shut off UAC in Vista, and now it works perfectly. Maybe it wasn't trend micro causing the problems after all.

I just used Winrar to unzip, you might have gotten a bad download. Then you have to have Daemon tools or another program to Virtually run the iso. It does not actually install so to run it you have to use Daemon tools.

Just be careful with MRI. Some computers (mostly "work" computers with login's) don't like it. About 10% of the time MRI well delete the login info and force you to re-install windows. I haven't had this happen with home computers though.

Spybot is where it's at, and it's free.
