e-brake drifting?

Is the bead leaking right there? I don't know if thats safe to drive on with part of the bead exposed.

No leaks right now. I don't use e-brake. I have AWD.

if its not leaking, it will soon enough. depending on how much that wheel cost you, might be worth getting fixed. There is a shop in MI that does awesome work even on chunked wheels. With a good pic alone he can give you an estimate.

Yeah. this sucks. I'll have to put the stock wheels on bu the RE92 Potenzas on there arent the best.

This sucks. I hope it doesn't snow anymore. haha

unfortunately ive seen people drive cars into our shop with way worse missing off the rim and still holding air. Altho i would not recomend driving with that on there. unfortunately it happens to us all once in our lifetime we fudge up. i would look into getting that fixed those were sexy wheels

Yeah this is about 4-5 inches in length right down to the bead. Really surprised I had not gotten a flat.
Let's hope it doesn't snow much more. I just put the stock wheels back on (2:00am now lol)

I am lucky though to have AWD and stock wheels and tires on hand.

Yes, I called the cops on the curb that hit my wheel. LOL

These are the wheels. Photo is pre-lowered time

I'm REALLY glad I did not sell the stocks so I did not have to use these

ouch... that sucks. one of the rim sets that i have for the rx7 have a chip like that... depending on the price, i might get them refinished.

not as bad as yours, but it bugs the hell out of me.

Is there any kind of filler that is usable on rims? I honestly don't know, hence I ask, lol....

i used to work for a used car dealer and there was a couple of times that a customer would come in with a rim like that asking if we knew of any way to fix it. we always sent shit like that to a place called airport welding. located on layton right across from hardees. give em call.

Or if you have the broken piece, you could try Competition Cycle in Butler. The old guy there is slow as molasses, but has been known to bring a lot of AL wheels back from the dead.

I remember a friend of mine had a cracked magnesium rim on his SRT4 ACR and some guy repaired it. I'll have to call my buddy up and find out who did the work. I couldn't even tell there was any damage.

are those Rotas? if so, definitely replace them.

Nick
02-23-2009, 11:32 AM
Yeah Rota Tarmac III. I can get a new one for $190 but i'm tapped out.
I'll prob roll on the stocks until spring. Have an alignment done due to the roads ******* my suspension and then get the summer wheels and tires on.

Not trying to sound like an ass but thats the kind of shit you get with Rota's/sportmax's.

why not put your snow tires on the stockers? or they the wrong size?

i had a friend a few years back that had Rotas (the same as or very similar to yours) and have a number of the spokes develop cracks.
