I fired my first gun ever yesterday at the firing range. My buddy is a Sheriff down here and went playing with the toys. I never imagined so much recoil in a handgun. I got to fire off an H&K 40mm, and a I think a Glock 9mm and I was a decent shot too. I nailed my head target from 25-30 ft away 7 out of 8 shots my first time out. I cant wait to get a permit and play some more now, but damm if these things arent expensive....$1500 for a gun!!!!

It's always fun to take a big boomer down there and turn some heads. You'll hear all the guys with 22's and 9mm's and then BOOOOM. I fire the .454 and 6 guys wander over to see "what the hell was that?"

:)

I like guns :)

Permit??

I have a Glock 23 .40
and my wife has a S&W 686 .357 Mag
We used to shoot on a league a few years ago when we had a pair of Ruger P89 9mm's

You don't need to spend $1500. I paid around $500 for my Glock back in the day.

Sig  I want.....:D
I was one of those WTF was that guys when there was a guy shooing a Desert Eagle .50AE

Love my Glock though, reliable as a hammer:thumbsup

I didn't think the .50 DE was as loud as my revolver. My dad's buddy has one. My revolver has the short barrel plus magnum porting so it seems alot louder than normal as well.

Hard to say though when you're talknig things that are that loud

The most powerful gun I ever fired was the non automatic (or something close to) an ak47. The thing had some kick to it compared the the .22 I used at the county fair (first time shooting a gun).

Funny thing about that day was when my friend discovered which eye was his aiming eye. The gun kept hitting him in the face. A person came over to tell him to wear his hat over his left eye so he could aim with his right. The guy came over in the first place because he noticed the thin river of blood trickleing down his nose.

Adding to the humor was another friend who was a major "homie." He wanted to show how baddass he was and shot a handgun (high powered) sideways like 2pac would. It turned out to be a good way to sprain his wrist.

Ak-47 kicks? Man, you should try a 10 gauge 2.5 oz slug :) Your shoulder will love you for it.

Or for a more exotic kicking gun, the .577 T-rex... check out some oif the t-rex videos:

If I had a gun I would probally just end up shooting myself in the foot. I have shot a couple riffles but never a hand gun.

My dad just got out of his private firearms license as a dealer. We've got a few special guns ;) around the house:devil . We've done alot of world traveling hunting. Russia, Africa, turkey, spain, alaska. So we got all rifles for those animals, Weatherby .7mm to 30-378's, to .416 mag. and enough pistols just in case. They are quite fun to shoot at the range. And else where.

I'm looking at picking up a kinber custom .45 for some personal protection when I move out.

i would have to make multiple posts for all the guns i have at my house.....my dad and brothers and me collect them...have more long guns then handguns.....some very old.......like for deer hunting i use a ww2 czech 8mm mauser......shells for it r very expensive....if you can even find'em.....we just bought some actual ww2 full metal jacket bandaliers and the guy at gander mountain suggested we go thru to see if any had cracked casings.....which was a good idea about 1/4 of the shells were cracked......

I always wanted a revolver like a colt with the custom engraving on it. I also want a muzzle loader rifle like those used in the civil war.

If I had a handgun I would be like Homer Simpson and shoot everything in sight :cool2: . Would be a scary sight.
