Let me specify. I am looking for a locking mechanism that would allow me to lock my sliding door for my apartment closet

Most don't lock their closets. Is there something you should let us know about?:devil

I have a bunch of asian woman trapped in there. Tryin to keep them from getting out.:thumbsup

Seriously:

Yesterday My apartment building got broken into as well as the building next door. The theives stole stuff out of people storage area in the basement. Which they had to go thru two locked doors to get to. I Keep everything in my apartment so nothing of mine is missing. Just trying to secure my apartment more seeing who knows who still have keys to my apartment.

you can find those locks at any one of the home improvement stores, but your best bet is a 2 inch wooden dowel wedged between the door and the opposite frame

Wooden Doll would only work on one door.

If you haven't found anything, check Whitlow's on Greenfield Ave. in West Allis, just behind the battery joint on Greenfield and Hwy 100. If they don't have something in stock, they should be able to get what you are looking for.

Well Idea one failed. I decided to do something else because no matter what youll be able to get into the closet. I am going to put a door knob lock on one of my smaller closets and just put the things that are important to me.

Throw and empty gun holster on the couch and put up some USMC banners.
