Surely some folks pass through this area and if so have you happened to notice construction humming along hopefully ?

The first Sonic restaurant in the Milwaukee area will open in February 2009 at 2080 Miller Park Way, West Milwaukee.

Thanks. :thumbsup

Sonic food is greasy as hell, their shakes and ice'd drinks are awesome though

its no greasier then rotten ronnies which has been around for half a century. They have a nice variety, kind of a change of pace. Plus breakfast is available 24/7

I've only eaten at Sonic twice, both in Florida while visiting friends. The one I was at seemed pretty slimy and run down, and didn't look anything like whats being built in West Milwaukee. Hopefully the food and service will be decent because they are gonna be busier than hell the first few months they are open.

So there is going to be an indoor seating and serving area ?
I heard most were carhops only which obviously is not the best in the snow belt.

Not really sure on indoor seating, It does appear however that they will have a standard drive-thru as well as the car-hop style service. The building just seems too small for sit down to me. I also did not notice an actual parking lot just the covered areas over the carhop bays I guess you would call it.

Might be a good spot for a little "cruise in"

cost is probably alot cheaper there than a spot on hwy100.

but considering we've had the ******* commercials for YEARS, you think it'd be busy as hell.

atleast it's close to the Cheesy Grill if Sonic gets to be too busy. I love that place

Hell, I am at cheesy grill a couple times a week usually. That place will cause me to go broke I swear. I highly suggest the Cheesy Pepperoni and the Mac n Cheese bowls.

West Milwaukee has more people per square mile than any where else in the state. That is the reason they are building there first. They are opening 20 in the milwaukee are in the next few years.
