I haunt the Craigslist photography list as of late. Over the weekend I picked up a NIB 8gb Lexar Pro CF card for $25 ($80 new) and a NIB 4GB SanDisk Extreme III SDHC card w/reader for $15 (I think around $40 new?)

Then last night I spot Calumet studio strobes listed. My favs, the Travelite 750's for $525 for two. Now, I had just got done looking at Calumet's site and new that these things were $599 a piece new and the description was "like new". But for $525 not only did it include lights it included 2 Manfrotto 9' light stands, a 36"x48" softbox, a 24" x 36" softbox (with speedrings) and the rolling case to put it all in. Thats appx $1700 to buy new. They had a third softbox there that I took for $30, think thats a 24" x 24".

I sent them an email and literally waited for a reply like a kid waits for Santa. Heard nothing then I checked my email from my phone before bed and they had replied. I was the first to setup an appt so I got dibs but there was quite a lengthy line behind me.

The only things that really show any where are the light stands.

So I guess the sunshines even on a dog's ass sometimes :thumbsup

Some quick test shots I took tonight to make sure everything was working properly. The freaking 48" softbox is huge, you can shoot through it and use it for highkey stuff with the youngin's

good job scott....see what the right lights and boxes can do...now just play around a little more....your doing great...i'll get them back grounds out for ya so you can play with them as well...
