car, truck, van, minivan, SUV, don't really care. 2 door, 4 door, 2wd, AWD, 4WD, manual, auto, doesn't matter. 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 cylinders or more, also doesn't matter. Just looking for a good deal. I also don't care if it runs or not, I have a trailer. If its a good deal and doesn't need thousands of dollars worth of work, I'll pick it up. Got some cash, looking for something soon, maybe even tomorrow :thumbsup

95 rolla 1.6 5spd 189k needs rear struts, exhaust is pretty loud, and the alt just started making a bearing noise.

most toyotas are loud, same with vw.....I dont think that is a major problem
I have a 93 f-150 at the dealership that I think we can sell pritty cheap, needs some work, but for a working 4x4 extended cab with the 5.8 and dual tanks, you cant really beat it.

1987 S10 blazer 4x4 $300
the good:
it runs
has heat
it runs
has heat
new heater blower motor
the bad:
everything :)
brakes are soft but it stops
needs wiper motor (wiper arms and blades are not on truck but i have them)
front end is F'ed up so it pulls to the side and when you hit a patch of ice it goes to the other side..(its really fun :) )
NO radio (will include boombox that needs batteries)
headliner held up by thumbtacks
its rusty as hell
4x4 works sometimes(i think its the linkage thats messed up)
has exhaust leak
runs like shit untill its warmed up then runs like a champ
the only gauge that works is the temp gauge
can't fill it with gass over 1/2 because the tank leaks...
basically its a big POS! after this winter i planned on taken it to the junkyard to see what i would get...i only drive 2 miles to work and back and ive had it for 2 years its a winter beater for sure. drive it-blow it up-jump it off a cliff-use it for target practice,i dont care.

Winter almost over. If I had the money I'd toss all seasons on the roo. Hoping to leave state in a few months, money would be good.

I'd like $1500. Has sweet new JDM black muffler and Exhaust tip to quiet it down from LISMO level of loudness.

yea i got beaters laying around. some running some not
ranging from a 95 caddy STS that with well over 200k on the clock, might even be more than 250k, but needs some minor but time consuming work to get it road worthy and im too busy with the other projects
how about an escort wagon that doesnt run?
How about a kia sedan?
2 94 grand prixs that will be running when Im done with them.
How about an astro van that runs fine but has a horrible oil leak, were talking like a quart a week bad
eh?

ya know.... I was honestly going to say how disappointed i was at how decent the truck actually is.... I was expecting half the truck to be rotted away. But then I saw the interior and now I understand :D

its really not bad for the price. I fixed a weird cold idle issue already, just had some vacuum lines that were disconnected. its going to need tie rods and ball joints to make it a good driver. and some brake work, but still, a working 4x4 truck... I'd say its a decent price.

Is it a 2.8 or 4.3?
88Nightmare
02-06-2009, 06:24 PM
its a 2.8
reconnected some of the vacuum lines, plugged others. A lot of them were dry rotted pretty badly so it may still have a minor leak but it runs a hell of a lot better now
