I am looking at a new turbo for the Eclipse right now and will be purchasing shortly.

I am looking for pricing on the following:

Garrett GT4088R T4 0.95A/R Divided V-Band Flange
Garrett GT4094R T4 0.95A/R
Garrett GT4202R T4 1.01A/R

Borg Warner Airwerks S400SX 74mm compressor w/ETT "AKA S374" --T4 1.0 or 1.1A/R Divided V-band housing
Borg Warner Airwerks S400SX 76mm compressor w/ ETT "AKA S376" -- T4 1.1A/R
Borg Warner Airwerks S400SX 80mm compressor w/ETT "AKA S380" -- T4 1.1A/R

TiAL GT4202R with the custom GT40R compressor cover

All turbos are for a T4 divided V-band discharge setup. Borg turbos are to be with the Extended Tip Technology (ETT)

If anyone can give me a hand finding decent prices on these, speak up!

Thanks!

not sure how much you are looking for as far as power, but the bullseye power s374 is good for 1000whp +, i know a guy who will sell that turbo for 1800$, street price 2200$ and 1800 is lower than dealer cost heres a dyno chart

Well, Im sure you know of Atp turbo. I have always seen good prices from them.

Otherwise, talk to Russ Jerome.

I have seen S374's going for around $900 with the options I am looking for. I am just leary about their lifespan and spoolup being a journal bearing turbo as I will be using my 2-step to produce around 20psi at the line, and my anti-lag to around 30-35psi if necessary at the line if I am still getting bog off the launch.

As well, I can get my hands on GT4202R's for around $1600. I know they are good, I am just looking at the other options as well.

Dave, I will have to talk with ATP and see what they can do, I haven't spoken with them yet to see what they can do for me. I know that they are around $1975 for a GT4088R, so a bit high versus the other prices I have seen. I have also not spoken with ITS, or AGP yet -- I would prefer to stick with Garrett or Borg parts in my turbo though. I am sticking away from Turbonetics and Precision.

As well, when I was at the PRI show in December, I was talking with TiAL for a while and they custom machined a GT40R cover with a new anti-surge inlet to bolt-on fit a GT4202R -- they were asking around $2000-2200. It was originally designed and used for a customer that was running twin GT4202R's on his Viper, and couldn't fit the larger 60-series GT42 compressor cover in the tight space, so they made up the 40R cover to fit.

As for my goals, I am looking at two options -- either stick with the GT4088R if I can get it for near $1100 and put down 825AWHP, or I will go for 950-1050AWHP with the larger turbos mentioned.

Essentially, I am adjusting the setup to run high 8's for this year, and need the turbo to support it without hand grenading it like my last GT4088R due to running 42-50psi the whole time on a turbo designed for a max boost of 37psi.

My setup is capable of supporting 50-60psi without sweating, so these mentioned turbos will all be used to their fullest potential.

My previous GT4088R was from Jeff at Fuel Systems, he quoted me a bit high at $1600 for a GT4088R replacement, and higher for the GT4202R.

I will talk to him again though to see what he can do.

I would rather be able to see what I am buying before using Ebay -- at least on the purchase of a turbo.

I am also looking for pricing on a Borg Warner S372R 1.1A/R T4 divided with the larger RACE cover that has the 3" hose discharge (not the V-band outlet).

The best I have seen is around $1500-1600.

Thanks,

Well, just got off the phone with AGP turbo, after a nice talk about the Borg Warner S374 (S400SX "S475") with the standard Super-60 V-band cover and the 1.1A/R T4 divided V- band.

$775 plus shipping/tax. :stare

I will need to talk to Jeff at fuel systems for the cost on the Race compressor cover, as Bullseye wants $300 list price.

Some Q16 or Import is going to go real nice with that new turbo :D I have a 5er left of Import that could go Real Cheap for testing!

I will let you know when the car is back together -- right now, it doesn't pay for me to have it around the house sitting....

It might end up in the winter beater, or the snow blower....:stare :stare

I ended up purchasing the S374 with T4 1.1 A/R turbine housing. I will be picking up the Bullseye RACE compressor cover for it which has a 5.5" inlet, and a 3" hose outlet (or a 4.2" V-band outlet), and the compressor cover is 10.5" in diameter. The "stock" cover is ~9.5" in diameter and has a 5" inlet and a 4.2" V-band outlet.

It weighs in at 42 pounds! I will post up a few pictures tomorrow that I have in my phone. It is a HUGE BIATCH!

It is a Borg Warner Part Number #171702, S400SX The compressor has a 74.7mm inducer, 100.1mm exducer with Extended Tip Technology (it is around 105mm at the E.T. outer diameter), and utilizes a 96mm Turbine inducer and a 88mm exducer. It is rated for around 102lb/min, and is capable of flowing 45psi efficiently at over 70% efficiency on the stock compressor cover. The RACE Bullseye-Power compressor cover has been dyno-tested to handle even higher pressure ratios and produce up to 100whp more over the stock cover.

Here is a picture of what my new turbo looks like (middle one); the one on the left is the race cover, and the one on the right is the compact 40R-style 4" inlet/2.5" outlet cover:

Here is a picture of the turbo with the RACE cover with the 3" hose outlet:
http://www.bullseyepower.com/seepicture.asp?b=2&bc=27

I am definitely going to need a bit more manifold bracketry support to hold this thing up!

I ended up paying $775+ shipping for it from AGP Turbo. Forced Performance is selling a few of them at this same price right now to offload their stock (they are sticking with Garrett products instead), and Jeff at Fuel Systems said he could match that price as well.

We will see what it can put down. I am looking to produce around 900-950AWHP at 42-45psi on this turbo and the new engine setup.
