View Full Version : 87 GN Paint Project..... almost done!

Just finished the final compounding and machine pad glaze today. This is my 62k mile 87 GN. Now it's time for a bath to remove all the compound and dust, a hand polish, and put the rest of the trim back on. Ready for sale in spring so I can buy a boat... Mixed emotions, this car turned out gourgeous! Let me know what ya think. :thumbsup

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I took the car to my buddy Nick at the body shop, and told him I wanted a "nice driver" paintjob (hes done many many jobs for me before and knows how picky I am). He really went over the top and went the extra mile, and the car looks amazing. I would recommend his shop to anyone. He has a 69 RS/SS Camaro Convert (all original metal) he is doing right now as well as a 70 Elky SS 502. Both of those cars are frame-offs. He does some really nice stuff and also obviously collision work is his main gig.

Still not together...:chair: But when I took it apart it was still kickin ass and takin names : )
