"Baby Kamani Hubbard has six-fully formed and functional fingers and toes on his hands and feet. It's called “polydactyly” -- extra digits -- not an uncommon genetic trait, but Bay Area doctors say they've never seen a case so remarkable."

Interesting, yet kinda creepy to look at...

Not that uncommon, knew a guy with and extra pinky on both
hands and an extra little toe on both feet. Friend of my moms
he got out of going to Nam because they wanted to cut off the
extra digits to fit in issued boots!

The condition of polydactyly in this particular baby most likely means his ancestors were from a region in Zambia. It occurs there with great regularity and has been found in pre-historic digs there. Also it occurs in the Amish communities in Pennsylvania. Also has been found in pre-columbian fossils of people in the American Southwest. Famous people with this trait include Anne Boleyn, Antonio Alfonseco (baseball player with the Braves), Charles VIII, king of France, Winston Churchill, Pacal The Great, King of Palenque, a Mayan King, and Padeira of Aljubarrota, an amazon of a woman who helped the Portuguese in the Battle of Aljubarrota in 1385. The question of Anne Boleyn's deformity may have been rumor started by Catholic enemies and was considered in that time a sign of witch craft. In fiction, Hannibal Lecter had the condition.

One thing you should know about this condition is that your last two digits will share the same muscles. That means you cannot move them indepentantly of eachother.
