PREDICTIONS

Main Event – UFC Welterweight Championship
BJ Penn (168) VS Georges St-Pierre (170) - GSP Unanimous decision

Thiago Silva (206) VS Lyoto Machida (206) - Machida via Embarassing Decision
Dong Hyun Kim (171) VS Karo Parisyan (170) - Karo
Clay Guida (156) VS Nate Diaz (156) - Diaz
Jon Jones (206) VS Stephan Bonnar (206) - Bonnar

So when Machida wins in style....this puts undefeated vs undefeated for the LHW title. Or will Dana decide to fuck him some more and decide he's not marketable enough?

Sorry, if Machida fights against Thiago the way he did against Tito Ortiz, he is just being a complete and utter *****... Maybe he doesn't want his 'pretty boy' looks messed up...

He wouldn't engage Tito, and was a complete bitch that just pointed his way to a decision while running away from Tito...

They REALLY need to start deducting points for those that evade engagement... This is a fighting tournament, not an evasion tournament...

Did you even watch the fight? He made tito look stupid and dominated him in every aspect. He evaded everything tito through at him with ease. Tito showed no agression so machida had to do nothing.

GSP by ref. stoppage
Silva by decision or TKO in 3rd
Bonnar by decision maybe by TKO late in the fight....even though he sucks
Kim by TKO/ref stoppage in the 3rd (just because I hate Karo)
Diaz by Triangle choke in the 2nd

I hope GSP kicks the phukk outta Penn. I realize these guys gotta add drama to the pre-fight, but he genuinely seems like a cockface.

fruggin baby cries about his pants being pulled but has no qualms about poking an eye or kicking nuts. I never saw penn get tossed so hard then to get hammered so bad also. just getting overpowered and now cut under the eye too. I swear if GSP misses a punch it would go through the pavement he is hitting so hard. DAMM penn is phucked up!!!!! welcome to disney land bitch!

penn sucking air and **** in his corner trying to calm down yet gsp never breathes heavy at all.

better get that nose fixed now penn.

the boy that has never been taken down, just got taken down TWICE.

I thought that was a boring ass PPV. Machida knocking that guy out was good, and that Jon Jones guy was pretty entertaining. The rest was like watching paint dry.

has anyone ever been successful trying to fight a higher weightclass then they should? Seems to me that always ends badly in every form of fighting.

Did you ever watch the beginning of the UFC? It was a tournament style format and a little guy named Royce Gracie took on and beat alot of big guys.

That's a different time though. I guess my point is that these guys who try to fight a heavier class, think they should gain weight to do so, and IMO it always ends up hurting them. I see boxers try to do it all the time, and they always end up being slower then they were. Seems to me you can spend years of your life fighting at a certain weight, and then in 3-5 months get used to fighting at a much heavier weight.

Good point

agreed. staying at his normal weight class makes him unstoppable but at the same time, gsp is unbeatable in his class as is A silva.

randy couture did it, matt hughes did it and Tito ortiz did it also. Frank Mir won fights in different classes too and I thought snooze Sylvia also won. Although as the sport and its fighters evolve, this is less and less the case.

Don't forget Anderson Silva in LHW. He hasn't lost yet

BJ Penn has fought at all different weight classes though. I don't see it being an excuse with him.

Anderson has faught @ 205 plenty of times before fighting in the UFC. He's a HUGE 185er. Naturally he's around 210-215 lbs. Some even says he's weighed as much as 22x. Just remeber he's every bit of 6'-2". He fits right in with the list of UFC 205ers.

I know I wasn't disagreeing with you....

That's why I brought it up.

GSP is a huge 170'er, its the same thing.

BJ Penn is 168 soaking wet without taking a shit for a month.
