Well, most of you guys saw my black or green zx6r bike poll... I did some research on the black one. Turns out the bike was sliver with red flames and rims from the factory. Now it's black with black rims. I'm pretty sure it wasn't dumped either, because I saw absolutly no signs of being dumped. So that got me wondering if someone just swapped flarings and rims. But why, if it wasn't dumped?

I contacted the local dealer asking for the vin and previous owners name. The previous owner was in IL and their name is: Dinneen Kaitlin. Now the weird part:

The bike was for sale in IL in ebay.ca!! What the hell? Why not normal ebay?

Heres the dealers website:

Everything matches, vin, exact miles, year, tinted windsheld, ect.

Think it's stolen or something? :stare

Paul's a good guy. He buys stuff wherever he can find inventory. Mostly from dealers(even car dealers that get bikes as trade ins). I have dealt with those guys quite often, both in buying a bike there and in selling trade ins to him.

Someone might have not liked the gay flame fairings and just sold them on ebay for the higher price than the same old black ones that are everywhere. Then again, it COULD have been dumped and the old owner didn't want to tell you

Ask em to fax you a copy of the title because your bank needs it because you're trying to secure financing?? That might solve that??

It looks like I managed to find the factory gas tank on ebay. It appears to have been damaged. It was the same seller as the entire bike in black.

It is very easy to put new plastic and engine covers on and the bike looks brand new. I bought a used R6 a few years ago, i took the rear tail plastic off to get to something and the subframe had "99-02 R6" writen on it in paint pen. So this thing was launched enough that the rear subrame had to be replaced. We looked the bike over quite a bit and the title was clear, its really hard to tell sometimes. I would say this sounds a bit shady though.
