mine was ok'd in 2004 and it was ok'd this year, but some of my friends know Joe the guy running the show.

i cant say anything bad about the way joe has done the show,but it could be interesting next year with some fresh minds pulling it together. The whole show has needed a serious reformat for a long time.

Carl is a good guy and his brother is pretty cool to he lives right around the block from me. The Cheaters are a great bunch of guys and always helpful, plus most of them were skaters or still are from back in the day street skating and hanging out at Turf skate park.

i just hope they know what they are in for..LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MADISON SHOW THAT IS NO MORE....all the things that have to be planed out ahead of time...floor plan,vendors,sponsors,ghetting enough people to keep the ball rolling and keep moving in smooth and getting out as well...
I wish them luck...they have a great act to follow...hope they can pull it off...

I got mine today. If you read it close you have to rent anything u want your car on or around. they want 3.75 oer sq ft for carpet. on a 10 x 20 spot comes to 750.00. I got a 20 x 20 for my car and that would come out to 1500.00. if this is true you can only bring your car and nothing ealse, and you have to rent everything from this valley expo and displays My car is will not be going. :crying

I just wanted a 20x20 spot for my car. is that a problem? I know my cars is a pile of junk next to your cars you had but i like it.

I know that, but if Chicago's version can have music, why can't we? I really don't care for the meet n greets. Standing in a line for a couple hours missing out on other things at the show makes no sense. Those calendar girls and other wimmin look good on the picture but they tend to look haggard in real life like aging porn stars. I know the organizers do it because people come to see this and could give a crap about cars. I like watching the pinstripers better than ogling some chicky hot stuff that I ain't gonna be able to be with in a million years. I remember those shows years ago when they had music. I remember waiting for that bus in freezing weather with a model car in my hand just to go to that show, it was a big deal for me when I was a 14 year old kid. Maybe I am so damned old that I've become cranky, but that is how I feel.

You may not care for the celebs, but it's to draw people other then car people into the show. Everytime I've gone I've seen pretty big lines for those celebs. It's to draw kids, and other people who would not normally be that interested in just seeing a bunch of cars.

If I was showing I know I wouldn't want a band there. Bad enough standing on concrete all day, know I gotta have a headache as well cause some band is drowning out the place. And with the accoustics of the place, it's just going to echo and sounds like crap anyways.

I don't have that much of a problem with the show, besides wishing they could get a few more top cars to make it to the show. I'd like to see them get a couple Ring Brothers cars, or other top pro touring cars to show.

I hope the Cheaters are strong willed. Cause they need to know that no matter what they do with the show they are going to have a large percentage of people pissing and moaning and to not take it personal. I hope they keep it an open and varied show that allows many different styles of cars.

HOLD ON....never did i say your car was a pile of junk...please find where i said that in my post....but no where in the packet we got does it state that...and i have seen your car and no way is it a pile of crap...i just asked why the 202x20...most that get that tour the car...now..mine was a pile of crap....

You CAN bring in your own carpet.
The flyer with all of the prices on it is for people who WANT to rent carpet,and other things for their display.
What it says on the "read this " sheet is that they want people to have some sort of floor covering so that cars like mine don't leak oil all over their floor,and this doesn't mean it has to be carpet either,a piece of cardboard will do.

I realize that the sheet doesn't explain that very well,kind looks like they forgot to add the " would be appreciated" after "floor covering".

Yep you are right, it will never be fast.. I'm the only guy that has a car that has nav, remote start, booming system, a wii that i can play games at the track. with my 22 inch tv in the trunk, and drive 4 people in it getting 20 mpg, stop on a dime and give change back, and still run in the nines.
