lien checks on atv's?

Anyone know how to or can run an atv vin to see if the title is clear? Kind of a carfax for atv's or something?

I've once wondered this for dirt bikes. Who knows if its stolen of not, lol. Maybe check with the DNR to see if its on file?

i would think if its registered threw the state either dmnv or dnr would know.

DNR to see if it is stolen only. ATV's and sleds do not have titles in WI.

I abought a sled that after the fack I found it had a lein. and the bank wanted it. Their is no way to tell. The dnr reg does not state if it has a lein. I don"t know but can your ins co. check a data base? Depending on the year you can call the dealer and check when they bought it , and if they did take out a loan what bank and call that bank and check the vin..
