I gotta ask, it is getting worse and worse. Not necessarily here on BCM, but on other sites its terrible.

Their, they're, there. What is so hard about it? To, Two, Too, why is it impossible to use correctly?

Then you have guys like this one in post #11 calling the Superintendent of his school the Super Attendent. I couldnt help but reply to that one.

Yes, proper English grammar is still taught in schools. Although it was a sad day when I was correcting an assignment and saw "ur" and "2". I cried a little inside. And yes, I text too, but I type everything out and don't make those little shortcuts.

Some of the grade schools HAVE moved away from spelling as we knew it and now do it some f'd up way. I know they do it at Robinwood in Franklin and my daughter's school back in Iowa.

I can forgive that kinda stuff cause it happens to me. Sometimes my brain and my fingers aren't making a real good connection. I know what I should be typing, but my fingers type the wrong thing. Often times I'll have to edit my post cause I catch it later.

They have it in schools just kids don't care and texting/im make it worse. They get into the habit of using the shortened stuff.

I agree. I had a guy send me a resume this week. The sad thing is we are always looking for good people, and I have a network of business owners I communicate with regularly. The issue is how can I recommend someone if they can't communicate? Most of the time I discard anyone who gets the basics wrong. People do not realize how critical "the man" is about grammar. Maybe they would take this a bit more seriously when they realize the difference is an extra $20K per year.
