I was in Milwaukee on 18th & Lincoln visiting a friend who owns the Big Bear hobby shop. I got back into my car and went to 16th street where I was proceeding to make a right turn heading south. This kid in the passenger seat of a beat to hell Toyota heading south but turning east onto Lincoln sticks his hand out the window and flips me the bird. WTF! I don't know if he was trying to get a rise out of me or what. I just proceeded on my way and ignored him. We were far away from each other so it wasn't an issue of being in his space. Plus the fact that his glove had the middle finger missing so that little pink digit of his stuck out pretty good. Is this the new gang banger thing now to see if people react?

It's really sad how so many neighborhoods that used to be so pretty and nice years ago have become so dangerous.

This is true. I've lived on 11th and Scott St, 14th and Mitchell St......It's funny how you just after a while no longer notice gunfire and sirens.

If its your old neighborhood, then why so scared???? Like it or not, if you can't handle some childish kids.. obviously you do not belong in the "hood". You don't have to own a gun to live in the hood, just respect one another and they'll respect you. :rolf

Like my dad always told me growing up-

A gang is a sign of weakness. Together, they may be able to hurt you. Alone, they are weak.

Actually, it's ranked at 25. I never said I was scared, I am not. I grew up and lived in those neighborhoods (except for the time I was in Cali) until I moved out to Muskego in 93. I'm still not scared. I just wanted to know why he did that. I thought maybe it was a new thing to rile people or target them. Kinda like the no headlight thing at night...you flash em, they chase you or shoot at you. I may not be scared, but that doesn't mean I ain't aware of my surroundings. I have many friends in the "hood" who I visit a lot. There are businesses I go to on Mitchell St and Lincoln Ave. Don't tell me where I should be able to go or live. I lived a hell of a lot longer than you and been through way more shit to be overly concerned about what you might think. As far as the gun comment, it was a joke.
