It is an ethanol factory in South Bend, IN. I went there to meet up with a friend and bought those headlights from him. Tire Rack is just down the road from there. Thanks for the compliments.

86' Monte Carlo SS, 383 stroker using stock CCC setup, bunch of brake and suspension mods, my first car too:

Don't know why I still have them on there. I don't think that GM put enough SS emblems on the car. They are only on the dash, seats, and doors. :rolf

they are coming off in spring along with the door moldings.. its just the double stick tape behind them is just plain retarded to deal with.. i found this out when i debadge the trunk

How is the Monte Carlo SS? I never rode in one, but I was in a 09 Impala SS and that was a nice car (I believe it has the same engine as the Monte Carlo SS). Pretty quick to say the least...

Love the Monte Carlo. In fact, I had a 1986 Monte Carlo SS. Man, what a car. I miss that car. Love the body style and I do not see many driving around in that kind of condition any more. Nice car.

It's noticeably quicker than a stock LS4 car. its best run to date is 13.1@105 with just a CAI, catless DP, my tune, and drag radials. I switched to an ls6 cam for a while that made no diff in e/t which is a result of the shitty intake manifold on these cars choking it. so its back to the stock 5.3 truck cam that came in it now intill i can figure out something for an intake.

probably gonna need one of these:

to fit the engines odd placed components and under the hood. just cant swap a normal lsx intake to this motor w/o hacking the shit out of it.

it depends if you want a supercharged cobalt or if you want a turbo charged cobalt.:rolf 06's are nice cars,09's are turboed

well if you want a supercharged cobalt you would want to get a 06 g85 thats the cats ass as far as supercharged models goe.. 07's in the begining of the model year have that trim package. stock they come with 220'ish hp. the supercharger is maxed out at 320ish hp.. but.. there are guys who ditched the blower on the lsj and turboed all of them make around 400 hp with tq curves to match

the 08-09 lnf cobalts come with a turbo vvt engine 260 hp-260 tq. stage kits put the car in the 320-340 range

130k miles , it was a Nevada car, the under body is completely spotless! engine is at the machine shop ill let you know more when i decide what i want to put into it. when i bought it, it was a complete slug, fixed the bad coil pack, new plugs, cut the exhaust off(still had the stock cat) and she woke up quite a bit, well the stock turbo was smoked so i just let it sit til winter, now the bug bit me and i have 2 money pits in progress.

I built the motor in it and dialed it in. Just a decent compression 370 with a 275 shot on it. car went 9.80s @140 with absolutley stock suspension other than a 12 bolt and a torque arm. it left lots of e/t on the table due to 60 foots being avg and weight. maybe 700 hp?

That body style is really nice. My friend had a 1967 convertible. They made the Z28 in 1968 correct? What is the difference between an SS and a Z28 in this year?

Cant fix anemic.... GM fixed the 4.3 once... it was the LB4 used in the sy/ty's. Then they re-broke it with that CPI vortec version lol

couldnt have requested that it be the 5.3 or 6.0l or you wont drive it eh? not a 2500/3500?

I purchased my GS in 1996. I just rarely drive it.

As for the LG, I have a guy coming to look at it. I am really torn about selling it as I really like the car. I guess we will see what happens.

Theres a little still there they are 315/35zr17 in the rear the stock 275/40zr17 fronts. I think lowering the car made it that much meaner cuz with it now lowered the wheels were EH ok but droping it makes it growl:devil

Is this a 1996 or 1997? The Z28 and SS models are really nice rides. In fact, I still have the motor trend magazine on these. How do you like the new Camaro coming out?

Its a 1997 its alright... the new camaro is cool I think with what u can do appearence wise from the sema cars.

Nice car. Is the 327 the original engine? Looks like you have a crate engine in it now? I bet this is a head turner.

The 327 came out of the previous owners corvette, the 355 came from a family friend down the road.
It had a straight six originally
The car does catch gab attention, but it really gets attention when you mat on the gas and everything gets very loud.
The GTO project will be getting a face lift with a full LT1 set up. I know LT1 bla, but for a full car that runs for $500 I won’t care.
