I've looked at both of these 2005 zx-6r's. Both are mint. Both have low miles (green at 2700 and black at 3300). Both are the same price. Both are at dealers. Both have a 30 day warranty. Both are local, with the green one being about an extra 45 minutes away. Both are stock. Really the only difference is the color.

I can't pick what one is better. I think the black looks less dated, but the green really pops.

Green, unless you plan on racing it at the track. Green is a bad luck color in racing. Unless thats different in Motorcycle racing because of suzuki.

Anyway, there are a Million black bikes out there and they all look the same to me. The green shows the detail, and fits the bike.

Kawasaki green is Kawasaki green. If you like green that's definitely the bike to get.

Personally I like the black. It looks great and doesn't stand out. I don't want to draw extra attention to myself when on my bike. But like nismodave said, black will make it look like any other sportbike. Most people won't know what it is unless you tell them or if they look at the decals on it.

Get green, you can be seen by others easier.

Once you go black...
But with a kawi bike..... Once you go black, you regret not getting the green.

Black one looks meaner, scarier, and more stealthy.

Are you planning on doing any future appearance mods? Could getting the black one now, make things easier if you wanted to do something custom later. I like the look of both but the green seems nicer as it sits. But, I think the black would be easier to work with if you wanted to do some custom paintwork etc?

Im not a big bike person so I dunno whats available out there, maybe its not even something to consider.

Wow. I'm suprized so many people voted. Thanks for the help guys. I'm leaning slightly more to the black, due to being more stealthly and fitting in better. As in I wouldn't stand out as much with a group of riders on all different kinds of bikes (crusers, ect). Also the harley guys at work might not laugh as much.

But, now I learned the black bike was not always black. The non-gold on the fork and calipers was only available on a bike that was sliver with red rims and red flames (ugg). The bike looked mint in person and I really looked it over, but I'll have to investiage more. Seams like someone decided to change the fairings and tank or repaint the entire bike black and swap rims. Due to this, I might just get the green one. It all depends on what aditional info I can find on the black one.

Green.

1.) Factory color for Kawi.
2.) Can be seen better.
3.) Better resale (you know this isn't your "last" bike)
4.) Doesn't need "mods" after purchase...just ride it for '09.
5.) It's a 636, so why not let people know it's a Kawi?

If it were a roach 500 or something you weren't proud to own, then black. If it was all carbon fiber...black, but really, if it can be distinguished by the color, go green.

I choose black because I dont like that color green except on a john deer or lawn boy. Also people dont see you regaurdless of a green or black bike majority of the people drive with their heads up their ass 365 days a year.

Also the harley guys at work might not laugh as much.

Let them laugh, and you can laugh along too at how much more horsepower your bike with 1/2 the displacement of theirs has. Or laugh about how well it handles and how light it is. And laugh at the low price you paid for this performance.

There are a couple HDs and maybe a Buell I could see myself owning, but only as a second bike to play around on.

Back on subject, colors aside, if you're deciding between stock and not stock, I'd buy a bone stock bike well before looking at anything modified. Tasteful upgrades, maybe. Replacement body panels or new paint says dropped and/or abused to me.
