Just wondering which one people prefer to tune. This is something I always wondered because they seem to be the most popular cars for cheap power.

(now lets see if I can get this poll to work)

BTW- could determine what car i buy next

Well all I've owned is Camaros... Wait, I did own a couple stangs in races though.... :goof Does that count for anything???

I love my camaro. For cheap power, and a lot of it, I like the chevy route.

Im gonna be difficult... i vote a late 70's ford granada 2 dr with a 302 and 4 speed in beige with burgundy vinyl roof !!!

now thats a hot rod that makes all of an agonizing 130 hp!!! You can get in some serious trouble really quick with that powerhouse!!

It really depends on the years though...fox bod > third-gen as far as aftermarket support and flexiblity/ease

late 60's I am a bigger fan of the GM motors and it's supperior aftermarket (as well as it looks better)

Early 70's GM all the way

Mid 70's i'll would go with the camaro likely...but it might be fun to do a 408 ci Windsor based v8 in place of the 115hp 302 in the Pintostang

80's yep the stang up until 93.

93 to 02 Fbods

03> cobra...and what else is there?

All in all, though considering my current situation I would consider a Fox-bod or getting a blown LT-1.

how fast do you want to go and how much money do you have? I like the styling of a 4th gen camaro better than anything. BUT you cannot beat the price of a rolling fox body stang. it all depends on what you want to do. straight out strip machine, i vote for a fox body mustang. for a daily driver/weekend warrior, i vote for camaro. it will be a tad more expensive depending on what you want to do.

me personally, i'm doing both ;) a little bit of this, with a little bit of that :)

Best bang for the buck a 86-87 Turbo Regal...but its too easy to get those things fast :goof .

Choosing a Camaro or Mustang is too general. I prefer GM in all instances but I respect how budget friendly the 5.0 Ford is and how cool the late 60's and some early 70's Mustangs look. The new body style isn't bad either.

Need I answer how i voted? Granadas, monarchs, and versailles did come with a 9" rear that'll fit my stang tho, and the disc brakes swap to my car easily, so they are good for something :goof

I should hit you for that one. (with my car)

Chevy site, forgot about that.

Seems like the too are in the same ball park for cost. I want to have womething with 350+ cu.in and a blower. I have the money now and just wanted A better idea of the best route to take.

I'm selling the stang because it is a vert and thkat is not good for drag racing IMO.

Turbo brick??? I have a friend who is selling his for 8k with some mods like ported heads cam intercooler and turbo upgrade. 86,xxx miles also. Good buy??? Oh yeah, its the WE-4

I think the chevys look sleeker and that is a major selling point for me.

Here is another question: Auto or stick?

I'm asking this because from what I have heard, a strong manual will cost about double that of a strong auto. Plus an auto is a turbos friend, but with a s/c anything goes. I'd probably strap a whipple on it or somehing comparable.

BTW- I already have a bowtie in the garage, but I'm losing interest in the aSStro idea.
