I was in the Dominican Republic a couple years ago and had a BLAST! If you went for a ride on the "funny bikes" a.k.a. 4 wheelers, then you would have seen a whole bunch of rice in the little towns. Some of the places had some high dollar vehicles parked in front of a fiberglass and wood shelters... didn't understand that. Different way of life for some of those people.
