Locking tool box/fiber glass truck cap

I just Got mudd runners ranger. With it came a nice locking diamond plate tool box (and yes the lock still works) and a red fiber glass truck cap that locks. I really dont have any use for these, since I plan on hauling a quad in the bed amongst other things, and I really dont think a red cap will look good on a teal truck.. The tool box part that fits in the bed is 50 inches across, so it should fit just about any standard bed small truck, like another ranger, s-10, dakota, mazda, colorado, ect......pics to come this weekend of the cap, fits a standard ranger bed....i think it is 6"

Can you measure the depth of the box from the bed rail down. I need a shallow box because it ends up right over the wheel wells on my crew cab.
