I'm a big fan of Diesels !

I have a slightly modded 7.3 Excursion and even that " Phat Azz Tank " moves out pretty good !

That gives me a great idea for a whole new direction with my 'woody' wagon project, because if that setup fits in a Mustang than it must fit in a big `ol wagon.....:headbang

Wish I had the dough, I'd like to squeeze one in my G-body wagon. Could I do import racing then since it's an Isuzu?:rolf

I didn't read the article, how does (or would) it perform as far as 'daily driver' friendly...??? I'm referring to ease of use to go have fun with on a daily basis during the summer months (nicer weather).....

Another question I have is how much did the drivetrain cost, can't imagine it was cheap.....:wooo

I don't know for sure but I'd bet it's one of the least expensive ways to make that car that fast quite honestly. The engine was probably less than a comparable race engine that makes that much HP/TQ. The trans is a 4L80E.. which even built to the hilt couldn't cost that much (relatively speaking for an 8 second car). Considering how streetable it is (he drove it 900 miles to a race event), I would think this car is a hell of a lot of bang for the buck.
