All of a sudden my internet on my desktop PC (Windows XP)died. It is wired ethernet to the router. I did a few different things to try and diagnose, nothing worked.
I have a wireless laptop, that works fine.
I wired the PC directly to the cable modem with ethernet, still dead.
I changed ethernet cables, still dead.
I disabled the ethernet card and tried the onboard ethernet, with 2 different cables, all dead.
I was trying to install a new key for Kaspersky Antivirus when it died. I have since tried uninstalling the AV program, still dead.
I tried a system restore going back a couple of days ago, still dead.
Anyone have any other ideas how to fix this? Thanks-Dan
When I go in Device Manager it says everything is working fine.
