Hey Guys,

I'm looking at picking up another toy. I'm going to need a small loan. Do any of you know a good place to get one at a good rate?

Thanks!

Scott

Personally I got a great rate and deal from Landmark but then again I have an account there as well.

landmark is who we'd use if it were dealership. about 80% of the business goes through them.

My best luck was with credit unions on used stuff.

Credit union will be a lower rate, typically. Both my current employer and the last credit union I worked for give a .5% rate cut if you bring your checking account there and have auto-pay. Pretty easy thing to do to save a couple bucks if any CUs offer it in Milwaukee.

Thanks guys. I shot off some emails. I'm going to take off of work early and stop at a few of the credit unions.

I have had nothing but problems with landmark and once the cobra is paid off I'm done with them. its not really them its the insurance checker and there way of putting a car in storage. You have to sign a paper and even with it signed by the branch manager the insurance checker could care less and keeps sending the letter threats that they are going to back date their insurance. I have called these people so much that I know the 1-800 number by heart. But yes credit unions are the way to go.

In this economy you could always try a loan shark
