I still don't have my complete light setup, but I wanted to try some more things with the minimal amount of gear that I had.

I think they turned out well considering what I worked with. There are some minor things I would correct with better lighting, but yeah - not too bad IMO.
I look forward to my ringlight and studio setup this week.

Nice pics Nick. She seems like a good sport for letting you take pictures of her all the time. I get screamed at so I usually practice on the dog and cat.:rolf

Hey thanks! I got my setup today but now want to fab up some brackets for my strobes so I don't have to use the weak lighting. Helps make them more portable too especially when using the pocketwizards.

That's a HORRIBLE THING to say!!!! You should be ashamed!!!

Seriously though, awesome pics. Gonna have to have a photo battle sometime soon with everyone as to who can capture the best pic this summer.

haha I'm going to send Mr. Cooper a picture of my asshole. You guys are all too kind.

I think my grandpa had an old 6x6 or my dad may. I recall seeing one years ago. I'll have to ask.
I'd really love to get into that, but maybe later on down the line. Having way too much fun with 35mm right now to want to get into something else.

Get background light away from the wall a bit and at less of an angle and you get a good high contrast feel without the light falling off from the source. Make sure the back light is cranked up all the way as well.

Playing with new lighting is fun, be sure to get a light meter to when setting these up, very handy. Nice work!

This is what I use;

I was actually going to attempt to custom cast my own mounting brackets for this. I will update soon on my attempts. Should be pretty good. I have it all planned out in my head.

I want to say somewhere around $200 but be sure to get the Pocket Wizard card for it so you can fire your strobes without being tethered, runs about another $50
