Can anyone recommend some good tuners and single coils for a stratocaster?

I can hardly put down my 335/Dot since I got it, and every time I play my strat I want to shoot myself cuz the stock single coils on this Squire are so shitty sounding.

I was thinking of some Vintage Series GFS PUPs

I've had that before, in fact I have a Vintage Rails in the bridge right now, and I've have a humbucked' guitar anyway, looking for traditional single coils.

I had a hot rail in one of my old Kramers, had it in the neck position and was awesome for blues type solos. If your looking for one in the bridge position I'd go with the Seymour Duncan SSL4 Quarter Pound Strat Pickup. Should be ordering my new guitar in a week or two, I can hardly wait!:headbang

I have always like seymour duncan pick ups, honestly your amplifier and its effets weather internal or external play a huge role on how any guitar sounds.

Good point. Maybe I'll just upgrade the tuners and leave it be till the day I can upgrade the amp.

Signature sounds are always the complete combo. Bands and guitarists keep their setups under wraps specifically for this reason. Guitar, effects, amps...all lend themselves to a certain sound. I used to get frustrated that I couldn't reproduce a sound, but in reality it is almost impossible to be identical.

True,my amp literally can reproduce hundreds of thousands different sounds and parameters.from amp simulation, mikeing, effects, every effect pameter can be changed. you can have two set ups completely the same and just change it so the distortion is before the chorus and it will completely change the sound. My favorite part of this amp is the fact that it hooks to my cpu and If I see someone on a forum that has a patch I like I can download it too my amp and have their preset on my amp. Its awesome. I couldn't get a Johnson and got the Line 6 2x12 vetta combo and have never looked back,It makes beagles 3 dolla guitar holla
