Well not really, but the new Taurus is definitely a huge improvement over the current Ford 500 (oops I meant to say Taurus :goof ). I'm really liking the front end and the interior  , but the back end (specifically the tail lights) is not sitting well with me; they look like the ones used on the Chrysler Sebring.....:puke

It's pretty cool looking.

Reminds me of an Acura TL/Honda Accord but that's not a bad thing by any means.

I love everything but the back, but that would probably grow on me eventually.

lol continental kit makings by the looks of that trunk. Looks like a subaru from the front.

I like the back end, it reminds of a Mark 8 wit the continental kit and slanted tail.
I doubt Ford will build anything that nice as a Taurus. A winner if they do provided it does not have a shoddily designed engine in it.

Still too expensive with a base price of almost 26K. It needs to have a base of closer to 20K to get people really interested.

Agree^^^

I've never really liked the Tauras, but that looks really nice.

I know it's not the second coming of Jesus but I am VERY anxious to see if they actually come out with a SHO model; TT EcoBoost (350+ HP/Torque) + AWD + 6-speed? =

Yeah I know I'm a Taurus geek.....:goof

if you only want to spend 20K, buy a Milan or Fusion. Not many mid to full size sedans coming in much under 25-26K nowdays. Please dont say a chevy malibu either....

I won't buy anything but Ford, but I'll be damned if I would spend that much base price. They wonder what the hell the problem is...it's the prices!

it's not the early to mid 90's anymore. Everything is more expensive....Steel, plastics, labor, etc...

It sucks, but it's the truth.

For the way Ford's depreciate, you'll probably get a year old one for around 15K. Hell, they way they discount you can probably pick one up close to 20K anyways.

Sad but true, however I have no complaints.....:devil

I've been looking at eventually picking up a `05-`08 Ford Freestyle and it's amazing what you can buy a completely loaded one for with low miles.....:headbang

as far as the taurus that is out right now, you are looking at 18-25 depending on the mileage and the options......taurus x 19,900, freestyle.....I have one with 21k on it fully loaded that we have priced for like 14 or so

If you want a midsize vehicle that will pack a lot of bang for the buck, wait til 2010/2011....there wil be a svt version of the new fusion with the ecoboost engine in it.....that should be a real screamer

I love the Freestyle. Black, limited edition (no ugly gray plastic bumpers). Mmmm... Except I have no use for a vehicle like that.

I wish the Flex could tow a car trailer though. I really, really like those.
