This little princess is Natalie, all 3lbs 14 ounces of her. While she was small in stature she never failed to let me know when I was doing something to make her displeased. Natalie was born with Trisomy 18, which for those that are familiar with it has a wide range of possible complications, most commonly a hole in the heart, which is what Natalie carries.

While her long term prognosis is not good she was good enough to come home and spend time with her family who requested the service of NILMDTS, so I arranged the shoot in 36 hours (big thanks to Crivellos in Brookfield for their donated use of some equipment on short notice). Much nicer to be able to do a NILMDTS shoot at someone's home versus a hospital and Natalie was a very easy client to work with.

The following are just a few of the 200 odd shots. Lots of good brother and sister shots but they are all minors so I will not post them but mom and dad said they were more than happy to have me post up their shots.

Heres to a you pulling through this Natalie.

Pictures like those really do show how fleeting and precious life is...I pray for the best for her, even if her time is short in this world.

Thanks guys. I know that the underlying story can be depressing to some but the overall situation I see as a celebration of life, even if in some situations it is tragically short.

Very nice pictures Scott, I am sure the family will really appreciate the quality of work that you do. Those pictures will be a great rememberance and celebration of life for a long time. It is really great that you use your photo skills for something like this.

Still strange to scroll down and then see your signature photos after such a post.......but I like that quality of photo too.

Such a tragedy that the light of a couples life is taken like that. This type of thing makes me question God. My sympathies to the family.

Wow, dont know what to say. I know as a parent the gift you gave them with these pictures will be something at least they will hold onto as a image of love. You are truly a blessed person to be able to give this small gift to families. Our sympathy and prayers go out for their family. As painful as it is for them to endure and for us to watch, she is at a better place and for her short life had an enormous amount of love.
