I tried craigslist once before and got burned down REAL bad.

Well some know I was looking for a standard bore SBC. Found one on the GB craigslist. Add said 400 bucks engine with vortec heads. I call the guy he tells me its out of his boat (which was a nice boat) and he wants to go 383. I get there and look up the casting numbers and its a 2000 ZZ4 engine with the roller lifters!:wooo He said it had 500 hrs on it. I turned the engine over and everything seemed fine. I got it home, cracked the heads and the bore standard yet with no Ridges! WOO WOO! There are SOME truthful honest people stil on craigslist yet!:thumbsup

It's really NOT that bad, however, you will forever remember the one time you do get burned.....

I've adopted 3 ferrets from Craigslist from 3 separate owners. All have been healthy and a great addition to our family.

QF F'ing T!!!! My buddy actually had a guy kick his tires!!! Quoting something about the tire pressure while annoying the shit out of my buddy with his know it all attitude and refusal to leave if he didnt get the car for what he wanted to buy it for, what he thought it was worth. Some serious losers with free posting! My buddy also had a guy interested in a car he was selling, and on the guys way over to get it, he stops at a gas station and then decides he doesnt want it.... Weirdo's, scammers, and crazies on the craig... but it is a useful classified ad site.

Craigs list is the $hit, I even found my job on CL, and I still work for the guy a year later. The best part is for the first time in my life I actually like my job, and the pay isnt all that bad.

I have never been burned on craigslist, you just have to be careful. I have gotten some good steals on vehicles off craigslist.

Last summer I bought some FLAWLESS emblems from a really cool guy that contacted me through Craigslist, he only wanted $20 for them, he could have easily gotten a whole lot more.

I got some tires off of there 4 new 31x10.5x15's for way less than I would of had to pay for them from a dealer.....he even brought them to my work....however on the flipside, my buddy got a "new" tire for his rocket and sure it was new, but the damn thing was so dry rotted that it wouldnt hold air......

If it is somthing that I am in no hurry to sell I would pop it up on there, but if I want to sell it quick then in the paper it goes.
