we have squirrels that inhabit my yard.. they chew on the eve of the roof that adjoins the tree so they can get in the house. they had made a hole in the siding and made a nest in in are crawlspace last year. so i shot one of them and great stuffed the hole. now there are 4 of then, i take that back 3 of them running around. attempting to do the same thing again. so i was cleaning my r700 308 and my winchester 1901 lever action .410. as im cleaning the 410 i see that one of the squirrels on the bird feeder in the front yard. so with out hesitation in open up the ammo box and load the 308 up. slide open the door and nail that fuck right in the head. but when i say right in the head i mean there is no head left. hence there are now 3 of them running around. anybody know any good squirrel reciepes ?

I had the exact same issue as you. Them little bastards carved holes in my cedar siding/eves/roof. I bought a trap and a very nice pellet gun. I no longer have a problem. :sniper

I use the trap when I can't sit around the house waiting for them to move out the hole they dug into the house. A glob of peanut butter on a cracker, gets them everytime. If you're feeling humane, you can escort them out the neighborhood. That or put a pellet in their head point plank.

Using a 410 or 12 gauge would probably not fair well with the police where I live. But a .22 cal pellet gun is completely silent.
