WTF is this sound????

OK......I'm used to cars making a symphony of weird-ass noises....but today the RS was making a sound from her air-conditioner that sounded like (I'm not kidding) screaming. It wasn't loud, and the car was not acting funny, but what the hell could this be!? The A/C was obviously not in use, and after about 10 minutes, the noise just....stopped.

If you were using the defroster it conditions the air. More than likely it's the blower motor giving up the ghost.

Well, that's not so bad. If her blower motor dies, they aren't pricey to replace, and seeing as the blower motor in her is 20 years old, I suppose it's gotta die sometime......I'll see if she does it again later.

yea blower motors are usually under the right side of the dash pretty easy for the most part to do and usually cost less then 80 bucks on avg. which for your car its under 40 ill have to check tomorrow for avail.

keep using the heat and see if it still makes that noise when it cycles then see about tearing it out and testing it on the bench or having someone test it on a bench then let us know

Just had the car out for about an hour.....no weird noises, behaved perfectly normal...Which is somehow more ominous... I think I may have an RS-assisted nervous breakdown...
