Thats awesome. I really do wonder what it will pull in at auction? They say $4.3 mil, that is crazy.

Only 17 ever made I can see it pulling in a shit ton.

I wish that was my garage. ;)

i think the one on chasing classic cars and this one are 2 different ones. this one was found in london, and the one on the tv show i think was found around new york. another of these cars was sold last year at some auction for 7 million dollars.

41.121 - Cabriolet Weinberger

The third car is chassis no.41.121
Known as the Cabriolet Weinberger
Sold in 1932 to German (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany) obstetrician (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obstetrician) Josef Fuchs, who specified coach builder Ludwig Weinberger (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ludwig_Weinberger&action=edit&redlink=1) of Munich (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munich) to build him a open cabriolet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabriolet). Painted black with yellow, the car was deliverd to Dr Fuchs in 1931
As political tensions rose in pre-war Germany, Fuchs as a Jew (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jew) relocated to Italy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italy), then Japan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan); before permanently relocating to New York (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York) around 1937, bringing the Royale with him.[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugatti_Royale#cite_note-Fuchs-6)
Admired in Dr Fuchs ownership by Charles Chayne (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Charles_Chayne&action=edit&redlink=1), later CEO of General Motors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors). Chayne later found the car in a scrap yard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrap_yard) in New York, buying it in 1946 for $400.[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugatti_Royale#cite_note-Fuchs-6)
Chayne modified the car to make it more road usable, with the completed car featuring from 1947 onwards: a brand new intake manifold (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intake_manifold) with four carburetors, instead of the original single carb setup; a new paint scheme of oyster white with a dark green trim and convertible roof
In 1957, after running the car for ten years, Chayne donated the car to the Ford Museum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Henry_Ford), located in Dearborn, Michigan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michigan), where it still resides.[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugatti_Royale#cite_note-Fuchs-6) The associated placard, in its entirety, reads: "1931 Bugatti Royale Type 41 Cabriolet, Ettore Bugatti, Molsheim, France, Body by Weinberger, OHC, in-line 8 cylinder, 300 horsepower, 779 cu.in. displacement, 7,035 lb (3,191 kg). Original price: $43,000, Gift of Charles and Esther Chayne."

That would be like selling a Van Gogh to buy Dogs Playing Poker on Velvet. Maybe a nice unicorn wall rug. Might as well level the Roman Colosseum and put in a trailer park. (Then the Camaro's would have a place to park.)

You know what....value is in the eye of the beholder. To me, that fancy old car would be nothing but a means to get what I really want....which is more Camaros. I was stating MY opinion. I couldn't really care less what you think about MY opinion!!
