 I don't remember the hippies whining this hard when Bush won in '00. As for fuel, I fill my car when the light comes on. Unless its shooting up $4 tomorrow I could give a chit.

Yeah.....They get empty, fill 'em up. All summer long gas was pert-near 5 bucks a gallon, and I was driving my Olds and my Camaros all season long.....cost a fortune, but oh,well....gotta feed them.

This is probably causing a larger problem:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/7805770.stm

When 42% of Europe's gas imports are threatened to be taken off-line (and thus needing to be replaced from supplies elsewhere causing supply shortages), the shockwaves are felt worldwide.

It's certainly playing a bigger role than the current middle-east Israeli/Palestinian conflict...no one really expects any of the current oil producers to get involved (IE, Iraq, UAE, Saudi Arabia)...and the dirty little secret is that Iran IS involved, but as always, as a proxy using Hamas...so their production capacity will be in no way changed.

IMO, this will be a short-term spike that'll ease as the dispute b/w Russia/Ukraine won't actually disrupt supplies as it'll hurt either country too much.

Adam and I filled both our cars.

I love that it doesn't cost much more then $20 to fill up my tank. And getting 25 mpg isn't too bad either!

Looks like there is no end in sight for retail price increases. Morning news claims prices going up again because:

"Oil Companies anticipate Increased Driving This Spring"

No kiss, no vaseline? How about at least being honest!

He better go pro at something other than bowling then. Most of those guys don't make squat, esp. after expenses. Most of the people on this site make more than all but about 5 of the touring pro bowlers do.

37.58 is what it closed at today. There is no damn reason to be paying more the $1.40 a gallon at this point!
