Maybe you guys can answer this. Would a larger card like a 9800 or 280 fit in a Micro ATX Case? I really want to build a smaller setup but I'm not sure if one of the newer top end cards would fit...... or would this be a case specific question? (Might fit in some but not in others)

Another thing would be heat. But I'm sure there's some decent Micro ATX Cubes out there that are setup correctly for air flow.

just get a normal case. I wouldn't even want to attempt a build like that.

This one looks pretty sweet? I just don't think it would fit a longer style card.

People have issues fitting those cards into health sized midtowers.

Dont be a bitch and build a proper computer.

Ya I guess so. Probably need to cut the shit out of the case anyways, even then cooling would be issues in a smaller case.

my 9800GTX required some movement of hard drives in order for it to fit in my lian li case so. Just get a nice case that will cool good and be done with it.

Which Lian Li do you have?

I've got a 65B that I'll probably re-use.

What's the difference between the 61 and 65. Mine looks almost the same.

probably just a revised design or newer model.

ive always wanted to build a SFF computer to hook up to my tv for a mild HTPC setup. a high end single slot card would work good... those dual slot cards would not fit, both length and width.

I m setting up the server rack to handle all the hardware for mine. No point in building a pc to do it and have it sit in my living room.

Rubicon, yes they will probably fit in at least some uATX cases, but you will probably have heat issues... and you will HATE trying to do anything inside that case since everything will be mashed together.

How about this for the ultra-nerd that has to be able to look at their MoBo all the time:

Personally I like the Antec 900 and 1200 cases (I have both). The 900 will be my new Windows Home Server case, and the 1200 is my current system case. If you want a nice light case that you can go LanPartying with... try to find an Antec Lanboy case. They've been discontinued but you still might be able to find them on eBay. They are all aluminum and they come with a carrying strap. The only problem with all-aluminum cases is they lack the rigidity of steel, so you have to be careful how hard you tighten various screws because you can warp parts of the case.

I've always wanted to do rackmount for my server... but it would just be a lot of wasted space for me. You know Myles, you can get PC cases that look like a stereo receiver. So you just throw your pc into a stereo tower with the rest of your components.

I know i can get those, but since i have a rack i like that option. And mys etup doesnt really allow more reciever like things. I already have a dell server powering a amp and 2 recievers powering more speakers. So its kinda cramped already lol
