I have a friend of mine who runs a rear engine sbc super comp dragster on a pretty tight budget. He was doing great last season until the crank let go in his engine combo. He is looking to possibly redo the combo he has with some updated parts or build a new engine to fit his setup. He needs a small block that will spin 8000 rpm and make about 650 hp. He is running a power glide with a 6000 stall on a brake with a 488 gear. He has a pretty nice set of iron world product heads and a .60 over 2 bolt main 350 block. Lastly he is considering changing from gas to alcohol. What he is looking for is some good input and possibly some good parts new or used to get a reliable engine combo built to meet his need. Any useful input would be greatly appreciated.
