considering getting the slp long tube headers/catted shorty x pipe/loudmouth 2 catback combo....any one have this or a setup close to this? If so will I need the 02 extenders for this? how is the fittment? anything else to add (or changes to this combo suggested?) I want to go with the deep throaty sound and louder than what I have now

I would almost rather slit my wrists and watch myself bleed out then do LT's on a MOD motor in the car.

I would prefer to shoot myself in the head than listen to loud mouth mufflers. I've only heard it on terminators and I hated the sound, too loud, too raspy. Maybe they are more tolerable with cats, most I heard were catless.

I believe that the SLP is designed for use with cats. If you don't have cats it sounds like poo.

this is a true statement. there are a few exhaust systems out there that are like this. my gmpp exhaust sounds like crap with out a cat of some sort..

Ive heard that the stock exhaust manifold hold around 425 before restriction. Seriously no joke. Think I saw it on Corral a while back

X pipes tend to be more raspy, if you want throaty stick with a H pipe.

i would never run a mod motor without at least shory cats, without them the exhaust stinks like ass and they sound crackly and like ass.

LOUD AS HELL. Great product, hate the sound though. And Jesse is right...LT's on a mod motor=PAIN IN MY ASS!!!

I am running these with the cats and the mufflers that the lmII comes with, not the resonators. I have been watching a lot of videos compairing the bassani and the slp....I like them both but is seems like the slp is a little feeper and has that classic muscle car sound....still torn between longtubes and shorties...........

I had the LM2 on my LS1 and had heard many LM1 setups. With LTs, cats, and LM2 it will sound great.

can you even get the trans out with those longtubes without removing them? I sont think you can talk about a pain in the ass if the trans breaks or needs a clutch

The only ones that you can get the trans out with them on that I am aware of are the Hooker and Kooks longtubes. By far and away those are teh best two out there anyway.
