that sucks...I haven't made any adjustment's to my paycheck deductions and can claim 2002 & 2003 taxes on my income return...as well as paying nearly 5000 dollars in intrest payments...so I am looking at almost 3000 dollars

not to rub it in though :(

Same boat here. She only worked very little part time while going to school full time. So they didn't take out the full ammount of taxes because she didn't make very much. I guess you have to "notify the government" if you want them to take out the full ammount so you don't owe at the end of the year. Now the tell me

Kinda feels like I worked the last year for free

I figured claiming "0" would have taken out the most deductions but apparently, you have to volunteer more deductions to cover the min. Oh well, you learn;)

he he he ;)
thats why i have a dog! ;)
i tease the wife alot, that we have the dog so i can kick him when i am frustrated! j/k!
i love my doggie!

anyway, Yoosof, i have my deductions at 0, and my wifes.
i get money back at tax time, but for us,
i have a hard time saving money,
cause every time i have some money saved up, i spend it on the car!!!!!!!

so i'd rather get mony back at tax time, than have to pay.

i can spend it on the car:banana

Last year I had to pay $1528, plus a $300 penalty....I legitimately owed the $1528 due to my number of exemptions, but the $300 penalty was a kick in the teeth.....my dad's a CPA though...says he should be able to save me the $300.

last year I got somewhere around $1500 back. and a few weeks ago I was sent a letter from the IRS saying that 2 people claimed the same depentents. The exwife claimed our kids even though my divorce papers state as long as I an up to date with child support that the dependants are mine to claim. cost me $150 for the lawyer to get it straightened out. hope she learned that was a no-no for this year (2003).
